Paid Media Campaign Setup Audit Checklist
Domain Listings and Google Properties
- Google Ads account has been linked to the RSI Account by inviting UptimeRSI@gmai.com or accepting an invitation from RSI’s account.
- Google Ads Account ID listed under Admin > Edit Details.
- Google Analytics account is connected to RSI by inviting one of the provided emails. Instructions here.
- Google Analytics Property ID is accurate in Online Presence in RSI for each website.
- Verify that Google Ads is linked to the client’s Google Analytics account listed in Online Presence with RSI.
Tracking Implementation
- Ensure GA4 is installed on all landing pages.
- UTM JavaScript is installed in the header of all domains. Instructions here: Capturing UTM
- Test UTM parameters and ensure they pass correctly through lead form integrations. How to Integrate Lead Forms
Google Campaign Naming & Parameters
- Google Ads Campaign Name matches RSI Campaign Name exactly
- Google Ads Custom Parameter Name is entered correctly at the ad level for each ad
- Campaign ID in custom parameters is using the correct RSI Campaign ID for this ad
- Ensure each Campaign ID is associated to only one unique Google Ad- do not use a campaign ID across multiple campaigns
- Ensure all instructions have been followed for creating offline conversions, enabling tag tracking, and inputting the tracking template at the Account level. Instructions here: Google Ads Tracking
Test Lead Submission
Test URL Setup
- Create test URL with UTM Campaign ID parameters. In Google Ads you can use the available ‘test’ under the custom parameters to generate the link.
- Use the test link to visit the landing page- submit a test lead through phone call, web form or online scheduling as applicable.
- Verify the lead and associated campaign is received in the CRM
Phone Call Lead Test
- Call the phone number displayed on landing page (using test URL)
- Confirm call is answered by client
- Request client verify which campaign the call lead is attributed to
- Use test name format: First Name: “Test” | Last Name: “Campaign [ID]”
- Ask the phone attendant to save the lead under this Contact Name
- Log into CRM to view the phone lead
- Verify lead attribution matches expected Campaign ID
Web Form Lead Test
- Submit web form from landing page (using test URL)
- Use test name format: First Name: “Test” | Last Name: “Campaign [ID]”
- Complete all required form fields
- Log into CRM to view the web form lead
- Verify lead attribution matches expected Campaign ID
Online Appointment Test
- Book an online appointment (using test URL)
- Use test name format: First Name: “Test” | Last Name: “Campaign [ID]”
- Complete appointment booking process
- Log into CRM to view the appointment lead
- Verify lead attribution matches expected Campaign ID
